Financial Controller Europe, Nieuwegein
In this impactful role, you will take ownership of financial reporting, compliance and treasury across our European operations. As a trusted business partner to the Head of Finance, Tax & Treasury and local finance teams, you ensure accurate reporting, strong governance and continuous improvement. You will play a key role in driving financial excellence, leading audits and optimizing processes in a dynamic international environment.
Functie
You lead the European month-end close and ensure timely, accurate Group reporting while owning the EU Trial Balance and consolidation process. You oversee tax compliance across Europe, act as the go-to expert on tax matters and manage relationships with tax authorities and advisors. You take the lead in external audits and statutory reporting, ensuring full compliance and smooth coordination with stakeholders. In addition, you strengthen internal controls, drive standardization & automation and continuously improve financial processes. You are also responsible for the European treasury function, including cash flow and liquidity management and play a key role in optimizing financial systems and supporting system improvements and implementations.
Functie-eisen
You hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance or Accounting and are a Registered Accountant, with at least five years of relevant experience, preferably within an accounting firm. You bring strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting (IFRS is a plus), combined with experience in cash flow management and forecasting. You are proactive, structured, and able to drive initiatives independently. With strong communication skills, you translate complex financial topics into clear insights for stakeholders. You have advanced Excel skills, and experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Blackline is considered a plus. Finally, you are fluent in English and preferably Dutch.

Package
The salary for this position starts at €90,000 per year + 10% bonus.
